The Treasure Hiders Guide

Welcome to the Treasure Hiders Guild.  Learn the ancient craft of hiding treasure by following these instructions and you will create an adventure for your young treasure hunters.

STEP 1: Download and print your treasure hunt.
STEP 2: Cut out and separate the right-hand column of clues. Note they have numbers to keep them in order. You might need tape to hide clues in some places.
STEP 3: Take the first clue, make sure you know where it leads the treasure hunter, and keep it with you.
STEP 4: Go to the place the first clue leads and hide the second clue there.

STEP 5: Go to the place the second clue leads and hide the third clue there.
STEP 6: Continue placing clues in this manner. That is, in the third location, hide the fourth clue, in the fourth location, hide the fifth clue, and so on, until the clues are all hidden and the treasure hunt is arranged. The last clue should lead to the treasure!
STEP 7: Now, you are ready to start. Give the first clue to the treasure hunter and off they go!

HINT: Try not to hide one clue where it can be found while searching for a different clue.

Remember, some clues may be in code and will require more involved thinking. The idea is to solve “where.” And, you can always check the answer sheet.
